About Senator Tochtrop

Senator Lois Tochtrop was appointed to the Colorado Senate District 24 seat in 2004, after serving as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives for six years.  She then went on to win her 2006 and 2010 races for the Senate District 24 seat.  She is currently the Chair of the Senate Business, Labor and Technology Committee, Chair of the Sportsman’s caucus, and a member of the Legislative Audit Committee. 

Senator Tochtrop has been married to Paul Tochtrop for 51 years.  They have three sons and six grandchildren. They also have one dog and two horses!  She enjoys reading, word games, motorcycling, horseback riding, scuba diving, and camping.  Senator Tochtrop is a registered nurse.
