About Senator Carroll

Senator Morgan Carroll was elected Senate Majority Leader in November 2012, after winning re-election to her Senate District 29 seat in the 2012 general election. In 2012, she served as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, a member of the Senate Agricultural, Natural Resources & Energy Committee, and as a member of the Legislative Services Committee. She was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2005 to 2008 and served as Majority Caucus Chair, Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee and as a member of the Business Affairs and Labor Committee.

Senator Morgan Carroll is an author and an attorney. Her emphasis is on advocating for people with disabilities in access to health care and taking on insurance companies who refuse to pay owed claims. Her legislative focus has been on transparency and accountability issues.
