Morse offers comment in honor of Veterans Day

Colorado State Senator John MorseDENVER –Today, Senate President-Designate John Morse (D-Colorado Springs) offered the following comment in honor of Veterans Day:

“Today reminds me of my father. He served two tours in Vietnam when I was in grade school, and didn't feel too appreciated when he returned. I am glad we are better at welcoming home our veterans. We can do much more and today is a reminder that we need to be of service to our veterans since they have been of such service to us.”

The Colorado Division of Veterans Affairs oversees efforts to assist Veterans their dependents and their survivors to obtain state and federal benefits to which they are entitled.

Veterans and their family members may take advantage of their local County Veteran’s Service Office for assistance in filing for VA health care, compensation, pension and survivor’s benefits.
