President Shaffer's statement on the 11th anniversary of 9/11

Colorado State Senator Brandon ShafferDENVER— Today, Senate President Brandon Shaffer (D-Longmont) offered the following comment on the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks:

“It is important that we come together as a community to remember the terrible events of 9/11 and pay tribute to the heroes of that day. As we do so, we also celebrate the freedom and prosperity we are so blessed to enjoy. Many people who died that day were not only Americans but Coloradans, and we honor their sacrifice by continuing to work for a stronger, more unified nation.”


What is the most important thing Colorado can do to recruit, grow and retain businesses?

Increase marketing efforts in other states
Improve education and training for workers
Provide grants to businesses in growing industries
Offer tax breaks to businesses
