Senator Newell welcomes Arrow Electronics plan for Colorado relocation

Denver-Senator Linda Newell (D-Littleton) offered the following comment today following the announcement by Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) that its Colorado operations will become the company's global headquarters, effective Nov. 15, 2011. Arrow Electronics, with 2010 revenues of $18.7 billion, is currently headquartered in Melville, N.Y., and has had a significant presence in Englewood, CO since 2000.
Senator Newell offered the following comment on Arrow Electronics’ announcement today:
“Arrow Electronics’ leadership is a welcome addition to South Metro Denver. We’ve worked hard over the years to make our state one of the most business-friendly states in the country, and announcements like this make it all worthwhile. As someone who came from the private sector, I welcome today’s news, and I look forward to continued economic development in our state.”
Michael J. Long, chairman, president and chief executive officer for Arrow Electronics offered the following comment today:
