Today, committee approves Executive Director to lead Health Exchange with unanimous, bipartisan vote

DENVER— Today, the Legislative Health Benefit Exchange Implementation Review Committee voted to approve Patty Fontneau to be the Executive Director of Colorado’s Health Exchange. Fontneau will have the responsibility of leading the Exchange, which will operate as an independent entity and help businesses and individuals access affordable health insurance.

Senator Betty Boyd (D-Lakewood), who sponsored Senate Bill 200 to create the Health Exchange and who chairs the Review Committee, offered the following comment on the selection of Patty Fontneau, today:

“Patty Fontneau has tremendous business credentials and a heart for people. She brings decades of leadership experience and a track record of success. I’m pleased that Democrats and Republicans were able to work together and select her to lead the Health Exchange with a unanimous vote. I look forward to continuing this collaborative process to establish the Health Exchange.”
