Senator Evie Hudak offers comment on today's Douglas County voucher ruling

Colorado State Senator Evie HudakIn response to today’s Denver District Court ruling issuing a permanent injunction prohibiting Douglas County from issuing vouchers to private schools, including some associated with religious institutions, Senator Evie Hudak (D-Westminster) offered the following comment today.


 “To protect our religious liberty, our federal and state constitutions require the separation of church and state.  I am pleased the Judge underscored this fundamental tenet that has served us well since the founding of our republic.”


Senator Hudak is a former teacher, State School Board member and long-time education advocate.


What is the most important thing Colorado can do to recruit, grow and retain businesses?

Increase marketing efforts in other states
Improve education and training for workers
Provide grants to businesses in growing industries
Offer tax breaks to businesses
